Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information Hasib4Impact ("this site," "we," "us") collects from visitors, how it's used, and what choices you have. This site is a professional portfolio and educational resource covering food safety, lean manufacturing, and data analytics, intended for working professionals and adult learners, not directed at children.
This policy is a plain-language summary provided for transparency and is not a substitute for legal advice.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
If you use the contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. This is sent directly to our inbox via EmailJS, a third-party email delivery service. We do not store these submissions in any database of our own.
Information collected automatically
With your consent (see Cookies below), Google Analytics (GA4) collects standard analytics data: pages visited, time on site, referring site, approximate location (from IP address), and browser/device type.
Cookies and Tracking
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors use this site. This helps us improve the site's content and usability.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Google Analytics | Recognizes a returning visitor | Up to 2 years (some browsers shorten this, e.g. Chrome and Edge cap it at 400 days) |
_ga_21H5B8ERP3 |
Google Analytics | Tracks visit activity for this site's analytics property | Up to 2 years (same browser-dependent cap) |
We do not set any cookies of our own. This site has no login system, no user accounts, and no cookie-based preferences. The only cookies here come from Google Analytics, and only if you accept them.
Your choice: On your first visit, a small banner asks whether you accept or decline analytics cookies. Your choice is remembered in your own browser (local storage, not a cookie), so the banner won't ask again. We never see or receive this choice ourselves.
- If you decline, Google Analytics doesn't load, and no cookies from it are set. If you change your mind after accepting, Google Analytics stops immediately and its cookies are removed.
- If you accept, Google Analytics loads and the cookies above are set. The rest of the site (reading articles, viewing the CV, using the contact form) works exactly the same either way.
You can change your choice anytime using the Cookie preferences button on this page, or the link in the homepage footer.
What Google Analytics processes: your approximate location (estimated from your IP address, which GA4 does not store), browser and device type, pages visited, and how you arrived at the site.
Third-party images: Some older articles include images hosted on
Google's Blogger platform (blogger.googleusercontent.com). Loading
these images sends a request to Google's servers, which receive your
IP address and browser details, plus the site's address
(www.hasib4impact.com), not which specific page you were reading.
These requests don't set cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
| Purpose | Data used | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Responding to your message | Name, email, message (contact form) | Your request / legitimate interest in replying |
| Understanding site usage, improving content | Analytics data (GA4) | Your consent (cookie banner) |
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone for their own marketing purposes.
3. Third-Party Services We Use
| Service | Role | What it may process |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel | Hosting | Standard web server logs (IP address, browser, requested page) for every visitor, like any web host |
| GitHub | Code repository | No visitor data |
| Google Analytics | Site analytics | See Cookies section above |
| EmailJS | Delivers contact-form messages to our inbox | Name, email, and message from anyone who submits the form |
| Google (Blogger image hosting) | Hosts images used in some older articles | IP address and browser details when those images load |
| Namecheap | Domain registration and DNS | No visitor data from the site itself |
| Google Search Console | Search performance reporting | No individual visitor tracking |
4. Data Retention
- Contact form submissions are not stored by this site; they're delivered once via email. Retention after that follows EmailJS's own policy and your own email inbox.
- Analytics data is retained by Google according to our Google Analytics account settings.
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information. Since this site doesn't maintain its own database of visitor data, most requests are best directed to:
- Google Analytics data: you can opt out anytime via the cookie banner (declining stops future collection), or use Google's own Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Contact form messages: email us directly (see Contact Us below) to request we delete a message from our inbox.
6. Children's Privacy
This site is intended for working professionals and adult learners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the site is not directed at anyone under 18.
7. International Visitors
This site is operated from Bangladesh, but is accessible worldwide. Third-party services we use (Google, EmailJS, Vercel) may process data on servers located in other countries, including the United States and the European Union, under those services' own privacy and security practices.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect this site, including HTTPS encryption, security headers, and spam-filtering on the contact form. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect information submitted through this site.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves (for example, if new features are added). The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
